Step 1: Open a new document and click on the "Shape" button at the top of the page and choose the square shape. Resize the shape into a rectangle by dragging the corner of the square.
Although this blog will primarily focus on arts and crafts I do believe that creating things digitally is a craft. With my baby shower coming up soon there are so many fun and cute ideas I want to incorporate into the shower. We will be having a diaper raffle and as I looked on Pinterest I found many styles of diaper raffle tickets but all at a cost of course. Every design was priced around $4.00 for a page of 10 tickets. I would have had to spend around $16 plus shipping costs so I decided to make my own on my Mac using the simple program Pages. Here are some screen shots and the how to...
Step 2: After you resize the square into a rectangle, click on the "Choose" button on the right to choose an image on your computer. I found all these images for free off a Google image search. So easy to find them.
Step 3: Notice the image is quite large inside the box and it's still blue. To fix this click on "Advanced Image Fill" on the right and change it to "Image Fill" then use the "Scale" slider button to make the image smaller on the inside.
Step 4: Download a free colorful border from Google images and drag it onto the document. Resize it by dragging the corner and move it onto the rectangle.
Step 5: Download any cute image to adorn the corners of the border. I chose a butterfly. Drag onto the document and resize it the same way you resized the border.
Step 6: I copied and pasted the butterfly into the upper right corner as well. I also found a tiara image on Google and dragged that into the top center of the ticket. Lastly, use text boxes to place text inside the white area of the raffle ticket.
Step 7: Select All items by going to Edit->Select All. Then right click on the ticket and click on "Group." Copy and paste the item on the page as many times as it fits. Group will make all the elements (background image, border, and butterfly) into one element that you can move around the page.
If you want to use my exact design here is the free download! Enjoy!
